The Stress Monster

While most people have no clue how severe the impact of stress and thus an overdose of cortisol can be for your body and brain, I can confirm all of the mentioned effects and some more. Once you are in that vicious circle it is very hard to escape from it. 

Wisest lesson learned is very simple: change what can be changed and leave what is no longer of any use. Be aware of all the signals you are getting from your body. It’s your most honest friend.

Luckily I unpacked my meditation pillow today..

Amanda Palmer talks about the art of asking in relation to paying for music in this inspirational TED Talk, but I believe this works for so much more in life. 

If you truly connect with people they are willing to help you. Just ask. But asking makes you vulnerable, which appearantly is something that society sees as a bad thing. I think it is a beautiful thing, the ‘risk’ of trusting people. Open up to them and they too will share. So much positive energy to share and loneliness to be solved. Of course there is disappointment at times, but that’s just life. 

Trust your instincts and you will be rewarded with the often hidden beauty of people! Aside from loving Amanda for her crazyness and openness towards the unknown I love her music too!
