In love with Heather Nova’s fragile but powerful voice since her album ‘Oyster’ in 1994, with impressive songs as ‘Truth and Bone’ and ‘Maybe an Angel’ which instantly throw me back twenty years in time.. Later albums never had the same impact on me but I kept trying.

With her new album ‘The Way It Feels‘ she’s cutting my soul in half again. In particular with the beautiful ‘Sea Glass’. But also songs like ‘Girl on the Mountain’, ‘On My Radar’, ‘This Humanness’. 
She is definitely back on my radar!

Salmorejo – soep voor luie mensen

Hier een übersimpel en snel recept voor als je met deze hittegolf te lui bent om te koken, of als je zoals ik de hele zomer in 30+ graden zit. Salmorejo is een koude soep die oorspronkelijk uit Cordoba, Andalusië, komt.

Salmorejo
Voor ongeveer 4 porties:

1 kg tomaten
1 teentje knoflook
3 sneetjes (stevig) witbrood
2 dl olijfolie extra vierge
1 hard gekookt ei
wat serranoham ter garnering

Ik maak deze soep razendsnel met de slowjuicer. Doe tomaten en knoflook erin en je hoeft niks te ontvellen. De puree giet je over het brood en laat je 10 minuten intrekken. Hierna giet je het mengsel in de blender en voeg je rustigaan de olie toe tot je soep de gewenste consistentie heeft bereikt.Serveer de soep met stukjes hard gekookt ei en serranoham.

Perfect spot to feel the emptiness of everything with all your senses. All the elements were there and I could feel them from within me. Still not sure if I’m happy to feel these things. A bit less wind and waves would do fine too. Maybe it’s just called being me.
