Director Laura Poitras made the best documentary I have seen in a long time. Hard to believe what I just saw is really happening in this century.
Laura started receiving anonymous encrypted e-mails from CitizenFour, who appeared to be Edward Snowden. He claims to have evidence of NSA spying on basically every US citizen and many countries abroad. Laura and journalist Glenn Greenwald fly over to Hong Kong to interview Snowden who is staying undercover in a hotel. Bit by bit they publish the information he is handing them. He has risked his life, his family and his own soul to (it seems very carefully) reveal the fact that these citizens are not safe for their own government.

Pozitia copilului – Child’s Pose
At first this movie annoyed the hell out of me. I almost hated the main player, the mom, who is a very manipulative woman trying to control her adult son’s life. She doesn’t agree with his relationship and does everything that’s in her power to sabotage. Letting go of her son is out of the question.
When the son causes a car accident and a 13-year old boy dies, the mother uses all of her power, money and connections – she is an influential Romanian lady – to keep him out of prison while he is just in shock, very numb and not capable of any action towards the boy’s family.
Towards the end of the movie you see the mother turn into a much more sensitive person and personally I started to feel sorry for her.

Twin sisters Lisa-Kaïndé and Naomi Diaz, born in Cuba and based in Paris, form Ibeyi. They sing in French, English, Spanish and Yoruba, which was brought to Cuba by West African slaves.
So far I love this song together with the video clip, in all its simplicity, best. You won’t be disappointed!

Moby has been making me happy with his music for almost 25 years now. The variety in his music is what I love most. From the punk rock album Animal Rights to the more electronic stuff on Innocents. Seen him live countless times. The energy is always amazing, especially when Joy Malcolm is accompanying him with her powerful presence and vocals. MISSING my concerts!

Max Richter – From Sleep
Max Richter’s album ‘From Sleep’ and the eight hour long composition ‘Sleep’ are out and ever since I have been going to bed with this dreamy music, leaving it on for the full night. Waking up in the middle of the night in a weird state of being. Smiling and realising that I still have many hours to dream on. Probably will never get enough of this music. The man is a genius!
This song is only giving you a very short impression, the full album is well worth the investment.
♫ Broken Twin – The Aching
Nice and dark, the way I like my Scandinavian songs. In my opinion Broken Twin is of the best Danish bands from the last years. Considering a Danish festival (like Spot Festival) next year more and more.
